The brief

Yuppiechef was started in 2006 by two friends selling a small range of kitchen products online from a lounge in Plumstead. Since then it’s grown into a brand with cult following, and brick and mortar stores in key locations.

We were tasked with adding a homeware department to these, ensuring they had their own distinct identity while still feeling connected to the existing spaces. And, of course, they needed to feel as premium and friendly as the brand itself.

Our response

After meeting with the team, we discovered the fun behind the brand (think, disco balls in every store). So it became important for us to incorporate both this energy, as well as the existing style language, into whatever we created.

Our concept comes from the idea of a sanctuary – bringing this sense of easy calm to the stores through warmth, texture and some soft, inviting curves
