OK Liquor

The brief

When rebranding the OK Zimbabwe stores, we were also tasked with refreshing the related Liquor brand and format to reflect the same overall imperatives. The brief was to create a unique expression for this brand, linked to the main stores and leveraging the same identity, collateral and strategic thinking. The brand needed to still clearly be a part of the brand family while also speaking to the conventions of the liquor category.

Our solution

Drawing on the common emotive cue for the stable, we developed a brand essence of “Cheers to Happiness.” This reflected to spirit of celebration core to this brand but ensures a close alignment with the rest of the family. The logo was updated to include a wine bottle device as a category endorser, ensuring a clear positioning with and without the “Liquor” descriptor.

The rebranded store aligns closely with this brand identity. “Cheers to Happiness” serves as the driving force behind every aspect of the brand, from its visual identity to its tone of voice to the custom patterns and iconography we developed.
